The CMT Scholarship 2016

CMT is pleased to congratulate Evan Hoffman, winner of the Annual Clarkson Music Theatre Performing Arts Scholarship. A graduate of Cawthra Park Secondary School, Evan has demonstrated excellence in his contributions to a variety of school events, including concert bands, jazz bands, chamber groups, choirs and jazz choirs. Recognised by his teacher as "a phenomenal collaborator", "creative", with the capacity to "bring out the best in his peers", "respectful and  respected by his peers and teachers".  He has been elsewhere recognized with the "Spirit of Voice" Leadership Award at the Ontario Vocal Jazz Festival. Evan hopes to use his grant money, partly to help fund future creative endeavours. He looks forward to attending York University in the fall as part of the Cinema and Media Arts Program, towards a BFA in Film Production. We wish Evan well and look forward to presenting him and his family with this award at CMT's fall AGM, September 13, at Christ Church. Congratulations, Evan!
