Entertaining Mississauga since 1945.
Clarkson Music Theatre is a local community theatre group based in Mississauga, Ontario. Our diverse membership ranges in age from eight to 93 years old.
Originally founded in 1945 as a local church group that performed Gilbert & Sullivan musicals exclusively until 1970, CMT has established a rich tradition of music and theatre, having since produced over 100 award-winning musicals and cabarets.
CMT presents a major fall production each year as part of The Encore Series at Meadowvale Theatre, and is very active in the community, bringing over ten Christmas concerts to senior centres every holiday season.
CMT proudly fosters both newcomers and established talent in music, drama and theatrical design while supporting local charities. Indeed, Clarkson embodies all that is community theatre.
Our Story

Clarkson Music Theatre believes in providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment. These principles should be the reality everywhere on the world stage. In light of recent events, the Board of CMT is thinking critically about the issues surrounding diversity and inclusion that exist within the theatre community. We welcome your voice to join our discussion as we listen, learn, and support our fellow artists.
