Hello CMT friends and family.

First a huge hurrah for our own John Galbraith / Cornelius for receiving the best supporting male Thea at the ACTCO Gala last Saturday. Yeah for Jo Kemp/ Dolly who was nominated best female. And congrats to Glenn Pringle for best stage manager of Jekyll and Hyde. The Celebrations continue for the Encore Series on May 14. Hope you can join the Encore Family for our annual Celebration of Artistry, held at the Irish Club, 4120 Ridgeway Drive. The doors open at 7 p.m. and the event begins at 8 pm. There is a cash bar. Chips etc will be on the tables and a LIGHT refreshment will be offered at or around 10:30 p.m. Event closes at 1 am. Tickets are $20 (money goes towards food, venue, adjudicator, awards). Come hear the results of the season, including nods to each show for what was deemed the best technically (like sound, set, lights) and artistically (costumes, props, program) as well as best musical moments and actors. The adjudicator will also give his choice for best overall choreographer, director, show of the season, and the subscribers choice awards will go to favourite male, female and show.) It's a great way to celebrate the whole Encore Family. We need numbers asap (deadline May 5) so please email your rsvp to christinemcm@gmail.com or ritaferguson20@gmail.com. Tickets are payable at the door in cash or cheque made out to Clarkson Music Theatre.

On another note, the Tannery is also getting its spring cleaning on that very same day from 8:30 am to 12"30 p.m. or so. Please consider coming out to go through sets, props, and dust (Dress appropriately). your support here is always appreciated.

Well done all, and looking forward to celebrating the artistry that was on stage each and every moment of the Encore Series.

Finally, it's time for the Board to consider applications for the upcoming Performing Arts Scholarship. It's a one thousand dollar bursary awarded to a secondary school graduate who intends to continue his / her studies in the arts either on stage (acting, voice, dance) or off (technical set building, directing, etc). Please go to the "About Us"  page at clarksonmusictheatre.com for details and to download the application forms.

If you want to hear details about our next show, "All Shook Up", come to the Info Night at 7 p.m. on May 18 at Christ Church, 1700 Mazo Cres. And of course, you have till the end of this week April 15 to get your reduced rate of $20 on the spring concert "Classics by Clarkson" for May 6,7. Tickets are $25 at the door.

See you on stage soon! And hurray, the sun in shining. Can spring be far behind?
