Producers - Rita Ferguson, Christine McMahon and Nick Forrow are incredibly proud of each and every one involved in the production - Hairspray. Audiences have not stopped raving about this feel good musical with the serious message. Feedback continues to acknowledge the excellence of the talented cast, the incredible direction/choreo, the strong orchestra and the inventive design. The two adjudicators (from MTM's Encore Series and for the ACTCO series) were also very impressed by the professional calibre of this production.

The producers want to acknowledge that this team of people brought a rare gift to the Meadowvale stage - not just their immense talent and enthusiasm, but a love of musical theatre and a capacity to make friends. These gifts are rare. Each individual cast member bloomed in his/her own way, and the cast become one amazing family. This terrific production came to a close on Nov.27 and the Hairspray cast/crew/team met for their cast party on Dec.3rd, where hugs were shared and memories recalled. The cast rocked the Irish Club House - in karaoke, and returned onlookers to Baltimore as they reprised "Good Morning Baltimore", "You Can't Stop the Beat", "The Nicest Kids in Town" and "I Know Where I've Been". On a personal note to the cast and crew we say: "It seems like yesterday that this epic journey together began. Now we've reached a turning point in our travels. But we hope you will each and every one of you walk this way again. Clarkson has benefited hugely from your being on this Hairspray epic adventure. As we bid you adieu, we wish you all well in your future endeavours. But, don't be strangers!"

The Clarkson Christmas Wine and Cheese is coming up in late December, auditions for our spring concert are held on January 7 (email ritaferguson@cogeco.ca for an audition spot), we celebrate our Hairspray achievements at the MTM Encore Celebration Night and the ACTCO Gala. So we have lots of things to look forward to.

In the meantime, Hairspray family - stay safe, foster the friendships you've created, and return to us here at Clarkson. We've loved you all...
